Kleftiko Caves
This oil painting was inspired by my visit to Milos, a volcanic Greek island in the Aegean Sea. I captured this image in Kleftiko, an area southwest of the island where unique geology meets crystal clear waters.
The region has a notable history dating back to the Ottoman era where the Aegean Sea was a centre of piracy. The unique rock formations carved by wind and sea over thousands of years were utilized by pirates who hid their possessions stolen from passing ships in the caves and coves of the area. Befittingly naming the area Kleftiko meaning ‘stolen’ in Greek.
You will receive a hand signed reproduction print on hahnemühle paper with dimensions measuring 400 x 495 mm (including a 20mm white border to allow for framing).
A highly skilled and experienced specialist fine art printer was utilized to ensure utmost archival quality.
Please note prints do not come framed.
